All that is Gold
Does Not Glitter

Not All Those Who Wander
Are Lost ~

The Old that is Strong
Does not Wither

Deep Roots are Not Reached
By the Frost.

Riding The City Bus On The Way To Pints With Sister Madly (City Bus #2)

Say no to the Dum Dums- they will only lead to trouble.
(Thanks, Dicky J Loweman! ;c) )

Riding the city bus

Right now I’m the most beautiful person

In the whole world

My hair is wind-blown

My beard is too long

I have tobacco stains on my fingers

I have a cut on my hand

And a stain on my pantleg

My spine is crooked

And I walk with a limp

But from the looks of things here

I am a super model

I see a homeless man with a paper bag

An old woman with eight shopping bags

A sad boy with a crumpled piece of paper

A dirty little girl clutching a doll with no head

I see a man sleeping in the back

A woman with a bad case of gout

And the Dodo who is perfectly content

Handing out Dum-dums

And reading a pamphlet titled

Everybody Knows The Plague Is Coming

That’s when I comprehend completely

This bus is an ugly place

And I…

Sister Madly and the Bad Kitty

Please enjoy this lullaby by John Thursday while Sister Madly is away wreaking havoc on Tallulah’s Wedding.
Thanks again, JT, for making me smile!

John Thursday

This is not my usual cynical raving fare. A lullaby written for Sister Madly and the insomniacs of the world. Inspired by this post:

https://rearwindowethx.wordpress.com/2014/09/18/the-wisdom-of-the-selectively-nocturnal/

It must be read while listening to:

Odd Couple by The Dirty Three

Sister Madly and the Bad Kitty

Wide eyed, alone in the dark
The silence of morning before the day starts
Under the covers, you’re still as the dead
‘Cause shadow kitty just jumped on the bed
And you don’t have any pets

Sister Madly
Go to sleep
The shadow kitty
Doesn’t dream

Sister Madly
Listen please
It’s 2:20 am
Just go to sleep

Wide awake while the rest of us sleep
Restless and haunted in shadows and sheets
It feels so unfair to be left all alone
In silence and darkness and rattling bones

Sister Madly
Go to sleep
The shadow kitty
Doesn’t dream

Sister Madly
Listen please
It’s 2:20 am
The…

The Madness of the Moon ~ FullMoonSocial2014

moonlight

Come along these lonely streets
And trip the light with me
Perhaps this reality
Is not the place to be

Let us break all the rules
That makes us immune
And let us be guided
By the madness of the moon

So we run with abandon
Through the falling leaves
Happily partaking
In the sacred art of thieves

cemetery

With defiance we challenge
Every absolute
And the bloated sincerity
Of deviant truths

With a love that is selfish
Yet without inhibition
These arrested adolescents
With lovelorn fascination

Surrender to the madness
With all of humanity
Dancing under the influence
Of moonlit insanity
