  1. So true SM! People spend an entire life seeking happiness or meaning of life. They forget to live for the moment. I am seeing this in myself and I have begun to let go. Good quote and reminder!

    • It is okay to live for the future on occasion, such as when your neighbor is hosting a karaoke party at 2 AM- you can live for the moment it’s over!

      • Gee! All that caterwauling or warbling. Egad if it was out of tune, it would be worst! LOL! Have a pleasant week ahead and your neighbor ought to be considerate!

  3. If she just watched a TED talk, it would all be sorted out in 17 minutes, and then she could get on and enjoy her garden.
Actually, if I had to spend as long wrapping sheets around me as that before I could leave the house, then I’d be wanting a quiet garden to sit in too…
Then again… I do already have a door from my bedroom straight into my garden, and it took me about 2 seconds to get this robe on, so maybe I’m already enlightened.

When all is said and done, and all cultural differences duly noted and respected… did you notice they still use exactly the same trip hazard warning sign that I have seen wherever a simply dressed man with a broom is ignored by people with important jobs to do?

Well, I sweep my own floors, and weed my own garden (rarely), and have even been known to lay my own paving slabs when the need arose. I shall ponder your message as I go about my happy, meaningful life.

    Thank you.

    • Hazard warning signs just might be the universal language- we may not be able to tell each other what time it is, but at least we can communicate that the floor is slippery.

I suppose that’s something to be happy about.
