  5. I missed that flight… but never mind, by the time I’m ready to leave I’ll be travelling at the speed of Spirit, so I’ll get to see… everything, really. With the Director’s commentary as well. Hopefully by then I’ll be able to laugh at the bloopers without wincing – there are no outtakes!

    • Now that’s commentary I would like to hear!

I think that, when the times comes, laughing is going to be the only option- after all, we have given ourselves plenty of material to work with.

      • By that criteria, my time came about 20 years ago. That’s when I realized that “one day I’ll look back on this and laugh,” would only happen if I started straight away. Being totally locked into the belief that the events of the moment were my sole reality was no longer a sustainable option. It has led to some moments of social awkwardness, with those people who are totally engrossed in their own tragedy, and on the whole it has brought more peace than conflict. Sure, remaining connected, as I am, to a body for which I care, means that I still feel the trials and challenges, and certain things, like breaking a rib, are quite hard to laugh about. Pain, like Joy, is part of Life – an essential experience. May as well look on the funny side.
By the way… You are the Director. The Executive Producer doesn’t do commentaries – She makes sure the set gets built, and pays for the lighting and special effects.
