In your Heart
Can be Seen
In Your Eyes.

And beauty is what you’ve created here, my friend…

To hear the words “friend”

Hmmm… How do you know?
How about the stuff that even I don’t know?
How about the stuff that I want to know?
I think if I ever found somebody who could look into my eyes, and see the truth, my truth, of what was hidden in my heart, and that person was strong enough to deal with what they found there, without projection, judgement or condemnation, and I trusted them enough to let them look… then it wouldn’t actually matter anymore. Nothing else would matter anymore, in the presence of such a person.
I live my life striving to be such a person (Yes, Ravens are people) and I still have a way to go.

But it HAS to be true! Why, just the other day a friend looked at me and said, ‘You’ve been cutting a lot of onions, haven’t you?’
And I had!
On the other hand, I think most of us will approach someone else’s truth with projection, judgement, and condemnation, simply because we are human. More often than not, such an opinion is automatic; but what really matters is one does with these sentiments. We can move beyond what we were taught/raised/indoctrinated to believe if we choose to do so.
And perhaps we all have a long way to go… some more so than the majestic Raven…

Ooh… I don’t hear that very often. I shall take it as a compliment.
And you, m’dear, have such a refreshing approach to truth, judgement and the rest, and have quite clearly knocked indoctrination into a cocked hat. I can tell this even though I have never seen your eyes, only your icon.

who can help but sing the music
that echoes in the dark chambers of the heart
and the heart of a poetess. . .
there are no maps
just edge notations
to the north
Here there be angels
none have returned
to the south
Here there be dragons
crashing on the Breakers of Hell

Sometimes I have no words when I read poetry… only images.
And tonight you have left me with many amazing images… for which I thank you.
