There are so many wondrous things that move our spirit. Each unique in the way it delights. In the light, or the night, or somewhere quietly between.

    • Yes! I know what you mean- there is something powerful that can only be expressed – and felt – in dance!

      • I absolutely agree with you. Being a dancer myself there is nothing more powerful and fulfilling as movement. You have some great posts, if you have any free time would you minding checking out a few of my own? Keep up the great content!

    • But just think of how dull life would be if the human spirit had not Free Will…?

Then again, one must never rule out the power of SLEEP when Free Will has other business to attend to…

  6. One of my favorite poets AND my favorite dance form! Tribal style is how I began belly dancing (some 20 years ago; yikes!) and Sister, I have about 50 pounds of jewelry to prove it! (Fortunately I’m probably only wearing 10 pounds of that when I’m dancing…) ^_^

    • One of my favorite forms of dance as well- to watch, that is, as I am very uncoordinated. Found that out the hard way.

I love the jewelry (only 50 pounds?!) Best part of the costuming!

Are you part of a dance troupe?

      • Alas no, my choreography days are done… But it’s wonderful when a really solid troupe comes through — Zoe Jakes & Beats Antique pop into my town about once a year and there are some sweet impromptu jams with other dancers who are “independents”. I know… 50 pounds makes me a lightweight!
