A Thousand Kisses Deep

I loved you when you opened
Like a lily to the heat

o-HOUSE-900

I’m just another snowman
Standing in the rain and sleet

rabbit

Who loved you with his frozen love
His second hand physique

With all he is, and all he was
A thousand kisses deep.

“… bent and funny and lovely…” I think that’s the way love should be. Or perhaps life, itself. Well said!!

  6. This brings back wonderful memories from his concert. When he recited this, the audience was so deeply moved. It was a moment to cherish! 🙂

Yes!! I also saw him live- it was so awesome! While I’ve always liked the original song, it almost pales in comparison to his recitation. I never tire of it.

        • I’m selling it to the Russians for 10 boxes of shirts, 10 ells of red cloth, 30 pounds of powder, 30 pairs of socks, 2 pieces of duffel, some awls, 10 muskets, 30 kettles, 25 adzes, 10 bars of lead, 50 axes and some knives.

        • In all seriousness the relationship my Countryman is relating seems to be a later in life one with a titch of melancholy and a touch of May & December. Bent and Funny have so many connotations Milady.

Wow! How very beautiful. It gave me chills. His piece seems to me to be “bitter sweet” if that fits, deeply romantic and yet wistfully nostalgic. What inspired you to post this?

This piece gives me chills as well- every time I listen to it.

I was just listening to this piece the other night and decided put together a little post on the it. People are more familiar with the song than the recitation, so I just thought I’d share it. ;c)

Been a bit uninspired lately, so the posts have fallen off a little. Perhaps I’ll go stir things up a bit amongst some unsuspecting friends… ;c)
