Not even a hint? There’s nothing here that says I can’t have a hint, or a clue of some sort… or a least a fuzzy kitten.

Now, now, SM, no changing the rules after the game has begun. A hint would render the discovery anticlimactic. I wouldn’t think of cheating you out of the awe-struck wonder of your personal revelation. Though since you’re ready for the journey, let the synchronicities commence….
January 25, 2015 at 7:24 PM
But the rules don’t apply to me! And I wouldn’t think of it as cheating.
Now that we’ve got that settled… you were about to give me a hint?

So, you’re just going to let me wander about aimlessly with absolutely no purpose and no ambition other than to achieve the height of 5’4 before I die? Would you have that on your conscience?

January 26, 2015 at 5:32 AM
Hey now! I thought we were friends…
… or does this silence mean you don’t know the answer either?
January 26, 2015 at 1:52 PM
We are indeed friends, and for this reason I am so assiduously adhering to your sensibilities. Even if you don’t. As for whether I know or not, you’ll never know, until you find out…

You speak in riddles…;c)

As long as you do not deflate the secret below 12.5 pounds per square inch, then you’re in the clear, I think.
January 25, 2015 at 8:09 PM
Okay, no deflating of the secret… I think I can do that. Got it.
January 25, 2015 at 8:41 PM
little secrets 🙂
January 25, 2015 at 8:10 PM
Also fun discovering other people’s little secrets 😉
January 25, 2015 at 8:45 PM
ahh yes, most special
are the little ones 🙂
January 25, 2015 at 8:53 PM
This is actually quite profound 🙂
January 25, 2015 at 8:48 PM
🙂 It’s true for most things, I think- (i.e. ‘Dad was right- you’re not suppose to bleach metal…’)
January 25, 2015 at 9:21 PM
This is profound period. I do think that supporting that log with your head could lead to new discovery of the profane if said log has a shift fit.
Good Idea … $1.00
A Clue … $5.00
A Hint … $10.00
Gadzooks Moment … $20.00
Epiphanies … $50.00
Insults … FREE!
January 26, 2015 at 4:25 AM
This fee schedule.. is this regarding the secret to life, or the wisdom of supporting a large piece of driftwood on one’s head?
January 26, 2015 at 1:42 PM
Doggie, doggie, who wants a doggie! Hey you pays yer money you takes yer chances.
I believe we can find the wisdom of supporting a large piece of driftwood on one’s head in the dictionary under, “Constervation”.
The secret to life Milady Madly you already know. You just may not know you know it. The secret to life is having one, they’re fun. You moppet are fun and spread your funshine around like spun sugar at the carnival. For which we all thank you greatly.
January 26, 2015 at 2:06 PM
Sorry I forgot to mention … for you, no charge
January 26, 2015 at 2:23 PM
Aye… no charge of insults…
January 26, 2015 at 5:00 PM
No … for you, no insults, no fees. I might attach the bells to you though! 😉
January 26, 2015 at 5:45 PM
Oh, I’d like to see you try!
January 26, 2015 at 7:20 PM
Very well. Small, medium, large or Quasimodo?
January 27, 2015 at 4:10 AM
It’s your challenge- what do the monkeys say?
January 27, 2015 at 12:02 PM
Milady Madly and as I noted earlier, accepted. The challenge is now complete and I do believe I have accomplished attaching that which I said I would.
I feel I must relay that the bauble was guarded by 9 of “Those Monkeys” and a small Alligator Lizard!
For your consideration and decision as to whether the challenge was indeed won.

We used to have a discussion group that met on Wednesday night after the last yoga class, and one night I asked them, If you could just throw a switch and be enlightened, would you do it? There were about six people there that night, and not one said they would do it. Very thoughtful post. Thanks.
January 26, 2015 at 8:02 AM
It’s true, what you say. There’s been many times that i’ve finished something- a drawn out project, a puzzle, etc- that when it was finished, the first thought was ‘Well, now what?’ rather than a sense of accomplishment.
The journey, they say, not the destination.

It is interesting that when I first read this bit of simple, but profound wisdom, I thought, “For something so simple and plain to see, this makes sense.” It doesn’t answer the question. It deletes the question and expands the experience of living.
Another thing I found interesting was the fact that these 11 simple words caused me to contemplate the seemingly hundreds of philosophy books I have read and the spiritually abstract works of ancient authors that many people today claim are the words of a deity, Then I reflected on my own madness and thought, “Definition limits the possibilities while simply understanding the moment and experiencing it as it is creates infinite possibilities.”
Experiencing life as we are expands the whole of our short experience upon this tiny sphere filled with seemingly erratic entities of energy who seek safety and security by limiting themselves, rather than expanding themselves and allowing their own meaning to express itself upon the canvas of the universe. To defy conformity is interpreted as madness. Let our madness be set free.
Thank you Sister Madly. Your delightful wisdom is grand in scope yet simply expressed.
January 26, 2015 at 5:48 PM
Why, thank you- although I can pretty much guarantee that it’s been said before.
I do like how you expounded on the subject- very much appreciated! For that, I say thank YOU.
January 26, 2015 at 7:34 PM
It is true what you say Sister Madly. All things have been said before within the universal consciousness in which we all reside. One can be seen as wise simply by revitalizing and stimulating the idea within the mind of another. We simply share the accounts that echo and resonate throughout time within the energy of who we all are. For to be original would be a lie and a selfish act of universal perjury used for the sole purpose of vainly attempting to increase our status among our fellow mortals.
I have no idea who may have said what you have stated here in your blog, so I delight in giving you the credit of bringing forth this simple truth and giving it to us as a simple reminder of who we are within the seeming complexity of continuous expression that flows through the void of illusionary separation due to the fact that we unable to see the ever flowing energy that causes humanity as a whole to be one organism upon the sphere of existence on which we temporarily reside.
January 26, 2015 at 8:06 PM
A profound point although I would’ve stated differently.
If you haven’t discovered the secret of life for yourself, what you have discovered is not the secret of life.
January 26, 2015 at 6:22 PM
Well said, indeed!
January 26, 2015 at 7:40 PM
You are kind to say so.🎈🎈🎈
January 27, 2015 at 8:16 PM
I can tell you the secret…
January 26, 2015 at 8:58 PM
And just how much is THAT gonna cost me?
January 27, 2015 at 12:01 PM
Just your soul. You will soon be one of us anyway, so you may as well begin the conversion process…
January 27, 2015 at 12:36 PM
Where’s the good in knowing the secret to life if I no longer have a soul?
January 27, 2015 at 3:59 PM
To put an end to your aimless wandering. To remove you from the purgatory of your present existence and give you a purpose.
January 27, 2015 at 4:07 PM
What, exactly, would be this purpose, pray tell?
January 27, 2015 at 4:28 PM
All in good time, Sister Madly, all in good time…
January 27, 2015 at 4:30 PM
Suppose I told you I had traded my soul years ago- for a really pretty rock?
January 27, 2015 at 4:38 PM
Making pretty noises will not save you from your fate. We know the balance of your soul.
January 27, 2015 at 4:47 PM
The shattering of an avian skeletal system also makes a pretty sound, Dr. Frankenbird…

That’s a good girl, feed the Darkness…
January 27, 2015 at 5:24 PM
I shall confer with the blasted creatures. As I started to reply from the radio to my ear, by Karma, by Omen, came Hells Bells.
Funny, there are somethings you just cannot make up.
Until such time as I have had audience, Milady.

As I write this, Tom Waits’ God’s Away on Business is playing.
This has absolutely nothing to do with this comment.
January 27, 2015 at 3:58 PM
Judging from some of the commentary perhaps subliminally it does have something to with the comment. Given to someone who knows that you have two angels at your service.
So if God is away, and in the deep dark recesses of your mind there is a soul concern, you are in good hands and wings.
DISCLAIMER: I am not a Psychiatrist or Psychologist and DO NOT play one on TV.
Speaking of wings … I hear them and hope it’s the monkey cuz in the moment I just don’t care to deal with the alligator lizard!
Ms Madly, soon as
January 28, 2015 at 5:54 AM
Best not to venture into the dark recesses of the mind. It is safer that way.
There is no soul to be concern about- it has been traded for a pretty rock. I got the better end of that deal.
But just there are monkey’s on the horizon, there is also a game afoot… 😉
January 28, 2015 at 2:17 PM
The dark doesn’t scare me. I scare the dark. My piece “Vision Quest” in my style may prove illuminating.
Why oh why do I sense that pretty rock may have been diamond.
I did have a brief interlude with that Simeon and had to go diatribolical. The creature had the audacity to suggest the piece be called, “Ding-A-Ling”.
I enlightened him on how such a thing could be misconstrued and that even giving the inference that a lady was such is dangerous to one’s well being.
In the spirit of the game it will be, “Ring-A-Ling” and the first two lines for your enjoyment.
Many come, many go, by trail, by air, some at Medieval Fair
One here, one there, none knew interest is not in those debonair
Subject to change is they are not etched in a pretty stone.
There was also the matter this day of defining the role for Beary. Heaven has their own economic downturn and the “New Age Archangel” must multitask. You are aware that Beary is already the Angel of Veracity. His complete complex duty list will give him the combined duties of Metatron, Michael and Lucifer.
Essentially what that means is Beary will sing you the song he wrote from the notes he took while waxing your tail.
The tail waxing is old school and not the new age style known as a BACIAL!
Milady Madly … the game is indeed afoot!

No matter how fast light travels
It finds the darkness
Has always gotten there first,
And is waiting for it…
…and that’s about all I can come up with at the moment. And that’s not even mine; it’s Terry Prachett.
Perhaps I should mention that I am currently chasing that Benadryl with a cider… 😀
January 29, 2015 at 3:50 PM
Light is a strange thing. So is enlightenment.
We could have our respective Dodos compare notes. I’m thinkin’ we’d need more than Benadryl, Cider and Tea to put their commentary in to proper perspective.

I’ve been working with pictures too. However, I look forward to writing again. I wonder when that’ll be.
Good job with the pictures, Sister!
January 27, 2015 at 3:03 PM
Just stopped by your site- I like what you’ve go going on. ;c)
January 27, 2015 at 3:50 PM
Thank you, Sister. Perhaps some day peacocks will run amok there as they seem to be doing here. You certainly have a bright and lively clientele…
January 28, 2015 at 10:03 AM
‘Lively clientele…’ yes, they certainly can be! 😀
Seriously, it is an honor that there are those who not only wish to participate, but seem to enjoy doing so. It’s something I never excepted.
But I am no less grateful of those who choose not to get involved, or of those who merely stop by. You all mean a lot to me. Thank You. 🙂
January 28, 2015 at 2:03 PM
Love the way you express everything with pictures 🙂
January 28, 2015 at 8:03 PM
Why, thank you!! Pictures are half the fun, even if they don’t make sense. 😉

Well, here it is…..
The secret to life is that there are no secrets, only undiscovered facts. If we want to know them we just have to keep digging and discovering….., unless a vacation in the Caribbean sounds like more fun…??? 🙂
February 26, 2015 at 2:45 PM
Could they not be one and the same? If we dig deep enough, we may very well come out on some Caribbean Beach!
February 26, 2015 at 3:17 PM
Nah ! With my luck I’d probably end up in China !!!!! 🙂
